How do we communicate and give tangible form to the benefits of smart home technology and big data in ways consumers will truly understand, adopt in meaningful ways, and that will ultimately improve their everyday life? Ted will explore this question and share current products in market, and insights and experiments from the Honeywell Connected Home global team. As a designer working across hardware, apps, software services and marketing, Ted is interested in understanding people, values and culture, and making things that improve daily life.
Ted Booth is experience design director for Honeywell Connected Home and its line of products and services. For more than 125 years, Honeywell’s heritage of helping people feel comfortable and secure has been matched by reliability and trust in the brand. Ted believes the connected home will only succeed if it’s a place people want to live.
Prior to joining Honeywell, Ted was managing director at Method, a global design consultancy. He led interaction design at Smart Design. Ted was also senior design manager at Motorola Enterprise Mobility, and has a Masters of Design from the Institute of Design at Illinois Institute of Technology.
